Company description

Osisko Gold Royalties Ltd is an intermediate precious metal royalty company focused on the Americas that commenced activities in June 2014. Osisko holds a North American focused portfolio of over 135 royalties, streams and precious metal offtakes. Osisko’s portfolio is anchored by its cornerstone asset, a 5% net smelter return royalty on the Canadian Malartic mine, which is the largest gold mine in Canada. Osisko also owns the Cariboo gold project in Canada as well as a portfolio of publicly held resource companies, including a 15.9% interest in Osisko Mining Inc., 17.9% interest in Osisko Metals Incorporated and a 18.3% interest in Falco Resources Ltd.

Osisko has a regional focus on North America and especially Canada.

The company was founded in June 2014 as a spin-off from former Osisko Mining which had discovered & developed in record time Canada´s largest gold mine “Canadian Malartic”. At the spin-off the management-team together with the leading geologists and engineers transferred into the new company.

Osisko has a strong financial position and pays quarterly dividends to their shareholders.

Osisko differentiates itself from pure royalty companies as they additionally act as an incubator and accelerator for junior mining companies in the exploration and development phase. Osisko´s goal is to accelerate the development of the junior mining company by providing financing additionally via equity (maximum is a 20% holding) and expertise (in management, geology and engineering) in order to receive the agreed royalty payments faster. At the same time Osisko takes advantage of the increasing value of the equity holdings.
