Silver cheaper than vanilla

The vanilla croissants may become expensive in this Advent season, because the price for vanilla has exploded. The spice costs more than silver

One even reads "Vanilla is the new gold", because one kilo of fermented pods, from the inside of which the precious marrow is extracted, costs an incredible 500 to 600 euros. You have to dig deep into your pocket or you can't get it at the supermarket anymore. The world's most important producer is Madagascar, with around 80 percent coming from the island state. Initially, vanilla was grown in Mexico. The Maya and Aztecs appreciated it as a delicacy.

Silver, calculated in kilograms, is cheaper - and interesting for investors. Today, Mexico is no longer the vanilla-growing country either, but it is at the top in terms of silver mining. This is why the mining companies there not only have excellent silver deposits with their projects, but also experienced workers and a very good infrastructure. Therefore, there are a number of promising silver companies in Mexico, such as Endeavour Silver or MAG Silver.

Endeavour Silver - https://www.commodity-tv.net/c/search_adv/?v=298511 -produces silver at its mines in Mexico. A fourth mine is currently being commissioned and a fifth project is on its way. The third quarter of 2018 saw production of nearly 1.5 million ounces of silver and nearly 13,000 ounces of gold from its mines, according to the Company.

MAG Silver - https://www.commodity-tv.net/c/search_adv/?v=298561 - is working with its partner Fresnillo on the Juanicipio Silver project in Mexico. Production of the approximately 200 million ounces of silver contained in the property is expected to commence around 2020. MAG Silver still owns the Cinco de Mayo concession area, which is located in the Mexican state of Chihuahua.

It remains to be hoped that the price of vanilla will fall again and that the price of silver will recover instead, thus pleasing investors in the silver sector.
