The recent past has once again proven that gold proves its worth in times of crisis and has financial properties. When central banks look to the future, they have to balance their finances. At the same time, there are geopolitical uncertainties. While the volume of central bank purchases may not be as large as in the past decade, they will be net buyers of gold, according to the World Gold Council. According to the survey, 21 percent of central banks intend to increase their gold reserves this year over the next 12 months.
This is because there is still a degree of uncertainty due to the economic recovery after the pandemic. According to 84 percent of respondents, this is relevant for the decision to increase reserves or not, or by how much. An equal percentage looks with concern at the continuation of expansionary monetary and fiscal policy. In addition, there is a rising inflation outlook. Liquid assets in the portfolio are therefore important. Today, 68 percent of central banks report higher reserves than five years ago. Gold serves "as a buffer" against the balance of payments crises. The main reason for holding gold, according to 79 percent of respondents, is gold's inherent "performance in times of crisis." Other arguments cited in favor of gold were "long-term store of value, no default risk and lack of political risk."
All these reasons and considerations also apply to private investors. They can, for example, add shares in gold companies to their portfolios.
Vizsla Silver - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ijjocFA-Dk -, for example, owns a promising gold-silver project in the Panuco district in Mexico. Eric Sprott's investment speaks for quality.
Condor Gold - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UT5UrBiITMU -, well financed, has the La India gold project in Nicaragua, which already has very good drill results (up to a good 12 grams of gold per ton of rock). The environmental permit has been obtained.
