The economic burden of the pandemic has so far mostly affected small businesses, which have had to cope with closures and the consequences. The financial impact of Covid-19 is greater than it was during the financial crisis. When government aid such as cheap loans and subsidies diminish, the debts remain with the companies. In Euroland, long-term liabilities have now increased significantly compared to 2008. But the financial markets convey optimism and share valuations are rising.
But there are warnings that growth below expectations next year could increase insolvencies by 20 percent. Inflation could thus also remain depressed, at least until there are major cuts in the productive base. This will also keep interest rates at a low level. Anyone who wants to counter the devaluation of money, which is nonetheless caused by negative real interest rates, will have to take a close look around.
There is no getting around investments in gold and silver companies. For example, Vizsla Resources - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNaAxVU6tsg&t=2s - could be considered. Recent drilling has returned up to 117.9 grams of silver and 3.71 grams of gold.
GoldMining - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42YOOPxclKU&t=14s - also convinces on the one hand with a large portfolio of projects (gold, gold-copper) in Canada, Brazil, Peru, Colombia and in the USA. On the other hand, the company succeeded in establishing its own royalty company.
