First pilotless air taxi in Austria
The first flight of the two-seater passenger drone took place in the Vienna Arena Stadium. Ehang 216 AAV is the name of the drone and it was admired by journalists from France, the USA, Norway and Germany. Controlled by artificial intelligence, a company from Guangzhou, China, is responsible for this. The drone still costs around 300,000 euros, but will become cheaper in the course of series production. Why did this happen in Austria? According to the responsible Chinese, Austria is a good partner. Norway is also very interested in flying taxis.
The time is therefore gradually ripe for drones, as they complement transport options. Even though tourism was mentioned as an important destination, things like organ transports will be done by the pilotless air taxi first. By the way, smaller drones are already on the road in China and deliver food every day. There is certainly still a lot to be invested in the air mobility infrastructure.
The use of drones is also being tested for mining, so that exploration and monitoring can be carried out without the sometimes dangerous use of human beings. With real-time data and cost savings, the mining of the future could look like this. If one orients oneself to the current conditions in the mining industry, the location of a project, the management, infrastructure and the available resources are particularly important.
Cobalt and lithium are important raw materials for the modern batteries that need the new technologies. In Europe, for example, there is lithium in the San Jose lithium project of Infinity Lithium in western Spain, about two and a half hours by car from Madrid. Together with the partner Valoriza Mineria, high-quality lithium hydroxide in battery quality is to be produced.
Cobalt, which is so important for energy storage and electromobility, could supply M2 Cobalt in the future - https://www.commodity-tv.net/c/search_adv/?v=298911. The Company owns prospective cobalt properties in Uganda. In order to create a strong company, a merger between M2 Cobalt and Jervois is planned, with the latter merging with eCobalt. So the high-quality Idaho Cobalt project from eCobalt is added to the group.
