Dear Readers,

In the precious metals market, economic uncertainty and geopolitical risks are meeting structural demand. Gold remains an important component of central bank reserves. However, the extent to which central banks are actually purchasing gold must be measured over specific time periods; individual reductions in holdings do not indicate a general shift in storage patterns. For gold, the U.S. dollar, real interest rates, and inflation expectations are key influencing factors.

Silver is in demand not only as an investment and jewelry metal but also for industrial applications. Industrial use accounts for a significant portion of silver demand. Economic conditions, the solar industry, and technical cost savings can alter this demand; despite long-term growth drivers, silver remains subject to significant price fluctuations.

Fortuna Mining Expands Production Base

Fortuna Mining - https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/fortuna-mining-inc/ - operates gold mines in West Africa and Latin America. In the third quarter of 2026, the group reported 69,665 ounces of gold equivalent. The company is also developing the Diamba Sud gold project in Senegal. Quarterly production is an operational metric and does not constitute evidence of future earnings.

According to the company, the neighboring Bambadji exploration project complements the project pipeline. Near Séguéla in Ivory Coast, a 30 percent expansion of the processing facility is planned. Together with Diamba Sud, this is expected to help increase group-wide gold production to more than 500,000 ounces annually by 2028, according to the company’s plans.

GoGold Reports Annual Production and Construction Progress

GoGold Resources - https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/gogold-resources-inc/ - mines precious and base metals at the Parral Tailings Project in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. For the fiscal year ended September 30, 2026, the company reported 1,000,242 ounces of silver and 11,647 ounces of gold, as well as 326 metric tons of copper and 466 metric tons of zinc. These figures refer to production, not sales.

According to the company, construction work on the Los Ricos South project in Jalisco began in August 2026. The first silver pour is scheduled for the second quarter of 2028.

Conclusion: Fortuna Mining and GoGold Resources on the Verge of Milestones

Gold and silver have different, and in some cases complementary, drivers of demand. Fortuna is focusing on the development of Diamba Sud and the expansion of Séguéla; GoGold is focusing on the commissioning of Los Ricos South.
