Gold in times of crisis
Not only is gold seen as an economic necessity when economies and currencies collapse, but it can also be a life and death factor in war zones. It offers its owners economic freedom and choice.
Gold is portable, has a natural value and shines with international recognition. In addition, gold has its own mysticism and has functioned as universal money for thousands of years. Elite military units were particularly aware of this. For example, the US military, pilots and paratroopers, got kits in World War II. These consisted of 1.08 troy ounces of gold as well as a wristwatch with gold link chain and gold rings.
In the same war, the British Ministry of Defence issued the famous Gold Sovereign coin to its troops as a survival kit. It should offer a way out in the event of negotiations or difficulties. Even during the Gulf War, troops and pilots were equipped with Gold Sovereigns. The British hid them by sewing her into their clothes.
Today, we still consider gold to be a universal means of insurance, a value that is durable, easy to transport and safe. However, since safe storage is not so easy or causes costs, there is also the possibility to participate in the value preservation function of gold by placing shares of gold companies in the portfolio.
The stocks of White Gold or Revival Gold could be considered, for example. White Gold has recently acquired three strategic claims to its prospective project in the Yukon in the Whitegold District (up to 605 grams of gold per tonne of rock) and now owns nearly 422,800 hectares of land - https://www.commodity-tv.com/play/gold-exploration-in-the-yukon-white-gold-is-the-future-gold-mine-generator/.
Revival Gold is a growth-oriented gold exploration and development company - https://www.commodity-tv.com/play/revival-gold-company-overview-new-promising-drill-results-at-arnett/. In Idaho, Revival Gold is working on the Beartrack project and the neighbouring Arnett Gold project.
