The first long-term communication is established on the moon, a mobile phone network is built. At the end of 2022 this will be realized on the lunar surface with low power consumption. This will promote the development of space capabilities, both governmental and commercial, and will benefit future NASA missions.
This planned wireless network will provide for example data transmission, remote control of moon vehicles or communication. The network will configure itself.
The metal used today in electrical appliances, in the storage and supply of electricity and in communications is copper. The reddish metal is also used in electric mobility, for vehicles, for the charging infrastructure and for energy storage. Wind and solar power are also dependent on copper. The expansion of renewable energies will devour an increasing amount of copper. Thus, copper with its strong conductivity can help reduce CO2 emissions. Copper also scores points for its great processability and durability.
The properties of copper have been valued and used for more than ten thousand years and they will be a victory for future technologies. Therefore an investment in companies with copper such as Copper Mountain Mining or Hannan Metals could be considered.
Copper Mountain Mining's portfolio includes 75 percent of the Copper Mountain Mine in British Columbia. Production is expected to increase from its current annual production of approximately 90 million pounds of copper equivalent to an average of 120 million pounds of copper equivalent per year.
Hannan Metals owns the San Martin project in Peru with copper and silver in the ground. The property includes approximately 90 mining concessions.
