Companies can refer to the new standard (Responsible Gold Mining Principles, RGMP). This is new because there was no single framework before. Environmental, social and corporate governance are the central points. The cornerstone environment concerns water and land use. Labour and human rights as well as the safety and health of miners fall under the heading of social affairs.
Under governance, for example, it is necessary to understand the supply chain. Participating companies should comply with the principles of RGMPs within three years.
A rethink is also taking place in various countries. In Ecuador, a country where mining is often viewed negatively because of its environmental damage, there has now been a turnaround. Ecuador supports responsible mining. Because if it is operated in a safe and sustainable way, it is beneficial for the population.
Here in Ecuador in the Andes is also the exciting mining project of Aurania Resources - https://www.rohstoff-tv.com/play/newsflash-99-fuenf-rohstofffirmen-im-ueberblick/: The Lost Cities- Cutucu. Copper, gold and silver could make for a successful project.
Auryn Resources - https://www.commodity-tv.com/play/auryn-resources-drills-hypothermal-system-at-committee-bay-receives-rock-samples-from-peru/, with projects in Peru and Nunavut, is also committed to the highest standards of corporate governance and sustainability. Seven projects belong to Auryn Resources, including the Committee Bay Gold Project, the Sombrero Copper-Gold Project and the Curibaya Project. The latter just returned beautiful drill results (up to 1,500 grams of silver and up to 7.67 grams of gold per ton of rock).
