Whether the gold standard could experience a renaissance

There was already speculation during Donald Trump's first term of office as to whether the gold standard would be revived.

In his first term in office, Donald Trump was a supporter of the gold standard. This has no longer existed in the USA since the 1970s. Speculation about a new gold standard is now back. It is questionable whether the next US president will want to undermine the power of the US Federal Reserve and return to the gold standard. The gold standard guarantees reliable price stability. Paper money is then tied to a real value. The gold standard began in Germany in 1871, and many industrialized countries joined the monetary system. The First World War broke out, then the Second World War and various circumstances such as higher debts led to a loss of confidence in the gold standard. The gold standard was abolished in 1973. In 1944, the Bretton Woods Agreement was signed, and all currencies were tied to the US dollar, the reserve currency. Today, the world is dominated by fiat currencies and there is no country that still uses the gold standard. However, a return to the gold standard would not be so easy because the USA does not own enough gold to repay its debts. According to leading economists, the price of gold would have to be much higher than it is today. According to one calculation, an ounce of gold would have to cost around 27,000 US dollars.  This would be accompanied by a sharp devaluation of the US dollar and a collapse in global trade. Moreover, not even the global gold reserves would be sufficient. So the probability of a new gold standard is likely to be low. In any case, a little physical gold and the stocks of gold companies should not be missing from investors' portfolios. It is worth taking a look at Miata Metals and Revival Gold.

Miata Metals - https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/miata-metals-corp/ - has earn-in options to acquire a 100% interest in the Sela Creek gold project in Suriname and the Cabin Lake property in British Columbia.

Revival Gold - https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/revival-gold-inc/ - is a pure gold mine developer in the west of the USA. The Mercur gold project in Utah and the Beartrack-Arnett gold project in Idaho are of particular interest.
