Bet on the right horse - gold stocks
If the gold price is currently falling, this is usually because liquidity is being created. Besides the IMF, gold on a large scale is held by gold ETFs. They are only surpassed by the FED and the Bundesbank. At a time when monetary policy is more capricious than during the financial crisis, gold should continue to attract strong buying interest. Because the immense amount of fiat money will make gold a winner.
The price of gold also went down during the financial crisis, but made a rapid recovery, rising to just over USD 1,900 per troy ounce in the following period. Given the current much stronger measures taken by the central banks, it would not be surprising if the gold price could reach a new record high.
Industry experts such as Mike McGlone of Bloomberg Intelligence already see a new all-time high in the gold price coming. According to the analyst, gold will extend its high of 1,900 US dollars "in a staircase recovery process". Oil or industrial metals will not rise as much as the price of gold.
Various other analysts and experts also foresee strongly rising gold prices in the coming months. Time, then, because a lever on the gold price are the shares of gold companies.
