There are even precious metal coins with pop culture motifs. Is it worth investing? Gold and silver coins can be bought at Walmart, for example. Only coins that are minted by governments and have a nominal value are considered real currency. They have the name of the refiner, the purity of the metal or a serial number. Costco is one of the sellers, along with Walmart and Amazon. Eagle and American Buffalo coins and bars produced by the U.S. Mint can be purchased. The Royal Canadian Mint and the British Royal Mint are also represented. There are also coins and bars with motifs of Shrek, Darth Vader and other characters. Walmart emphasizes the authenticity of these coins and has been offering them through "carefully vetted sellers" since 2018. However, investors who are considering buying precious metal coins online should be very careful. Fraudulent advertising and unscrupulous business practices are not uncommon. Collector coins and bars are often difficult to determine in terms of value. Rarity alone is not enough. Incidentally, there is a saying that you can remember: "The only thing rarer than a rare coin is a buyer of rare coins." Often only the impression is given that a coin comes from a genuine mint. For example, a Spider-Man silver coin is sold, produced by the New Zealand Mint. However, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand does not operate its own mint but outsources its requirements to the Royal Canadian Mint or the Royal Mint in Great Britain. So, there is often misleading information. Whether coins with pop culture motifs are worth their money remains questionable. This is because a substantial premium often has to be paid. Investors might be better off opting for solid companies that own gold. These include Aurania Resources or Gold Royalty.
Aurania Resources - https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/aurania-resources-ltd/ - focuses on copper and precious metals in South America. The flagship project is located in the Andes in Ecuador and visible gold was recently discovered.
In North and South America, Gold Royalty - https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/gold-royalty-corp/ -, a royalty company that provides investors with diversification, is popular. The company earns money with streams and royalties from the gold sector.
